At 2,132 metres, Annabelle Schneider has created a space of pure sensation.
Anyone riding up Mount Pilatus in winter hopes for sunshine, long views and that liberating feeling that the city is far away. Sometimes, though, what arrives first is fog. And for exactly that there is now a new attraction that fits surprisingly well: a cloud you do not just look at but step into.
High above Lake Lucerne floats this living organism made of fabric. A room within a room. With her installation, the artist Annabelle Schneider has created a place that feels like a radical change of perspective. You step in, and through breath, light and rhythm the nervous system finds its way back to a state of presence.
A paradise for winter lovers

Outside, too, there are wonderful winter moments. The mood is mountain-beautiful, and the reward comes in a very Swiss form — hot drinks, regional specialities and a view across the sea of fog.
To round off the day in style, book the “Gipfelträume” package at the Pilatus Kulm Hotels. Then the starry sky is yours for a few hours, along with the feeling of being right in the middle of nature.

Open daily until 26 April — the train ticket includes entry. Info: pilatus.ch
