South Sea magic: Tahiti, Moorea, Bora Bora — a journey through French Polynesia. For honeymooners, this magical place offers not only unforgettable adventures but also an open and welcoming atmosphere towards LGBTQ+ couples.

Imagine stepping into a world that has sprung straight from your dreams: French Polynesia, a place that brings to life the treasure island of your childhood imagination, with pirates, mermaids and undiscovered treasures. Here, where the water is crystal clear and corals glow in every colour of the rainbow, you discover underwater worlds that leave you speechless.

Bora Bora, a lovers’ paradise

Tahiti

Bora Bora, probably the best known of the 118 islands, is famous as a luxurious holiday destination for couples in love. At the jetty, we meet our captain and jack-of-all-trades Teva, who takes us by boat through the crystal-clear turquoise lagoon. Snorkelling, we swim with countless brightly coloured fish and the harmless blacktip reef sharks that are common here.

Continuing by boat, we head for one of the countless motus – as islets are called in Tahitian. Teva accompanies us with romantic songs on the uku, the Tahitian sister of the ukulele, while we enjoy the view of Mount Otemanu. Our lunch is prepared right in the lagoon: fresh fish is washed in salt water and refined with fresh coconut milk and lime juice – and the refreshing “Le Poisson Cru au Lait de Coco” is ready.

By ferry to Moorea

Tahiti

Just an hour by ferry from Papeete lies the enchanting island of Moorea, whose imposing peaks already cast their spell on Captain James Cook in 1777. Surrounded by a spectacular lagoon and coral reefs, Moorea offers a wealth of outdoor activities: from snorkelling with rays and hikes through lush pineapple and citrus plantations to encounters with fascinating freshwater eels. A highlight is the Belvédère d’Opunohu, from which you enjoy a breathtaking view of Moorea’s two bays. And: in the crater of the former volcano, the best pineapples in the world ripen for nine months.

Rangiroa and Tikehau

Tahiti

A day trip to the Blue Lagoon of Rangiroa is an absolute must – its crystal-clear water shimmers in different shades of turquoise and azure. Our next destination is Tikehau Atoll: less developed for tourism, but one of the best diving areas in the world thanks to its rich marine life. During our dive, we were lucky enough to watch a group of majestic manta rays gliding elegantly through the water.

In Tahiti, couples in love find an incomparable paradise where relaxation and romantic getaways go hand in hand. Beneath the most sparkling starry sky imaginable, lovers find here not only romance and adventure but also a place of deep respect and openness.
